We are delighted to announce the inception of the Graduate Research Conference (GRC) 2024 entitled Navigating Complexity: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Social Challenges hosted by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka. As an esteemed institution dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and wisdom, we recognize the paramount importance of nurturing a vibrant research culture among our graduate student community.

Purpose:

The GRC serves as a cornerstone event designed to fulfil several vital objectives but are not limited to:

 Exchanging of Research Ideas: The conference provides a dynamic platform for graduate students to share and exchange their research ideas. By fostering an environment conducive to open dialogue and constructive feedback, we aim to stimulate intellectual curiosity and innovation.

 Fostering Cross-disciplinary Discussions and Collaborations: In today's complex and interconnected world, the most pressing societal challenges often require interdisciplinary solutions. The GRC facilitates meaningful cross-disciplinary discussions, offering participants the opportunity to explore synergies across diverse fields of study and forge valuable collaborations.

 Enhancing Research Quality and Productivity: Through engaging workshops, panel discussions, and presentations by scholars, the GRC seeks to enhance the quality and productivity of graduate research endeavours. By equipping students with essential research skills and methodologies, we empower them to make meaningful contributions to their respective fields.

 Showcasing Research Accomplishments: The GRC serves as a premier platform for graduate students to showcase their research accomplishments. Whether through oral presentations, poster sessions, or multimedia exhibitions, participants have the opportunity to disseminate their findings to a wider audience and receive recognition for their scholarly achievements.

 Participation

We invite all graduate (Hon’s, Master’s, MPhil and PhD students) students across the Faculty of Social Sciences to actively participate in the GRC. We encourage you to submit abstracts and engage in the vibrant intellectual exchange that the GRC promises to offer.
